I saw a video on TV about these electronic cigarettes that apparently don’t make any smoke, but still give you nicotene. Not sure how these works. Anyone care to explain?
In a traditional sense, cigarettes are products with a large number of unhealthy element, which is harmful to human bodies. However, the digital age has given today’s smokers new means of smoking, the invention of electronic cigarette is the main reason. Mini electronic cigarettes are widely used in public libraries and they serve both the smokers and non-somkers.
For years it has been possible to buy nicotine patches and gum. However, these are often unsuccessful. For smokers, smoking is all about habit. Sneaking five minutes out of the office for a cigarette, having a smoke after a meal and more importantly, with a beer or wine. Unfortunately, patches or gum are never going to help break the habit. Will power will but when frustrated, bad habits soon come back. The mini electronic cigarette or the mini e-cig can be looked upon as an alternative to traditional smoking as its look, shape and feel is similar. This e cig recreates not only the look of a traditional, but also the actions. When inhaled the electronic cigarette emits a nicotine containing vapour which perfectly emulates tobacco smoke. However crucially this emulation is as far as it goes. The vapour does not contain any tar or tobacco, and as such none of the clawing odour associated with traditional smoking. The LED light at the end activates when inhaling further adding to the feel of a regular cigarette.
There’s a battery which is activated by a switch and it powers a heating coil (atomiser). The heat from the coil turns liquid into vapour, similar to steam being created from a boiling kettle.
The liquid contains propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol and/or glycerine which create thicker vapour than water/steam, it’s more like smoke. Also in the liquid are usually flavourings and nicotine although they’re not necessary for vapour.

It’s pretty simple instead of creating smoke these cigarettes use a heating element which turns liquid nicotene into vapor which then you inhale. That’s basically it.

an Electronic Cigarette is a battery operated smoking device. The rechargeable device contains no tobacco and requires no flame. It produces a vapor without tar but with better flavor than traditional cigarettes.
The e-cigarette consists of a battery, a heating element (atomizer or vaporizer), and a cartridge. The cartridge is the mouth piece and contains the flavor and nicotine.
When you inhale through the device the heating element vaporizes a nicotine solution stored in the cartridge. An LED on the opposite end of the device simulates a glow during inhalation.
