we r planning a shimla,manali tour in 3rd week of april. is it gud time 2 go as it s a family trip i wuld like 2 know s there any place for kids 2 enjoy like any snow place where they can enjoy themselves with the snow.can u pls. suggest some best places 2 visit

Manali in April/May is quite a good time. Rohtang pass could probably be open in which case you could even go further into Ladakh or for a more exciting trip, you could probably try a jeep safari through the Spiti valley via Baspa, Sarahan, Kalpa, Recong Peo ending at Shimla. That is an amazing trip and you pass through some unbelievable canyons in Spiti (cold desert) into the awesome areas of Baspa/Kinnaur where there are gorgeous waterfalls and amazing forts from the Pandava era. (as also the Pin wildlife sanctuary where you can see the ibex)
To cut a long story short, you can be rest assured that you will come across snow on the upper reaches of manali if you go in April/May and can also enjoy a number of adventure sports too (para-gliding, hot air ballooning, angling, rafting, rappelling)

Excellent time, it will be off-season there.
Near Manali, on the way to Rohtang (about 25 kms) there is a snow point where u shall find snow with guarantee. It is a very very enjoyable place. Food is also available so just hire dresses and go.
Naggar near manali is another very tranquil place.
The club house in manali deserves 1 full day for children.
simla is a lovely place but snow is not likely.
