When you first hear about an electric cigarette it kind of makes you wonder how do they work? How Does The Electric Cigarette Work?

The electric cigarette refill cartridge screws right onto the battery. When the smoker puffs on the electric cigarette, the battery sends an electrical charge to the atomizer. The atomizer then vaporizes the liquid nicotine into a steam like water vapor for which the smoker inhales.
The smoker exhales a non odor cloud of vapor that has no second hand smoke.
The Benefits
Smokers are now able to enjoy their freedom to smoke in public places without having to worry about the smoking bans. Now smokers will not pass down second hand smoke to family members and friends. There is no tobacco or tar therefor all the 4,000 chemicals that they would normal inhale by smoking tobacco cigarettes is negated.

There’s a battery which is activated by a switch and it powers a heating coil (atomiser). The heat from the coil turns liquid into vapour, similar to steam being created from a boiling kettle.
The liquid contains propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol and/or glycerine which create thicker vapour than water/steam, it’s more like smoke. Also in the liquid are usually flavourings and nicotine although they’re not necessary for vapour.

It’s pretty simple instead of creating smoke these cigarettes use a heating element which turns liquid nicotene into vapor which then you inhale. That’s basically it.

an Electronic Cigarette is a battery operated smoking device. The rechargeable device contains no tobacco and requires no flame. It produces a vapor without tar but with better flavor than traditional cigarettes.
The e-cigarette consists of a battery, a heating element (atomizer or vaporizer), and a cartridge. The cartridge is the mouth piece and contains the flavor and nicotine.
When you inhale through the device the heating element vaporizes a nicotine solution stored in the cartridge. An LED on the opposite end of the device simulates a glow during inhalation.
